Civic Parade
This years Civic Parade was another chance for the voluntary sector to show off, but alas only a couple of hundred turned up out of a possible 10,000!

Those that did enjoyed the usual hospitality of the Mayor and his party had a good sunny day to march from the Civic Offices to Christ Church for the service and back again. Even though this years date was changed to accommodate certain groups, others couldn't make at as it clashed with other bookings. It is so often the case as there so many things to do nowadays that there is the inevitable clash.

However so as to get you to put the date in your diaries now the date for next years Civic Parade is Sunday the 19 th of June. So no excuses, this must be the first booking for that date in your busy schedules. |
